Additional Information: Work is titled "Stone Head in Mountainous Landscape," signed and dedicated "for Leila." The work is described in the Christie's appraisal provided by the consignor as a collaboration between Betty Voorh and her brother, assemblage artist and filmmaker Joseph Cornell (1903-1972). Author, world traveler and socialite Leila Hadley Luce (1925-2009), to whom the collage is dedicated, was a frequent subject and recipient of Joseph Cornell's artwork.
