Additional Information: The chair was purchased in Paris from Vitra in 2012 for 8,000 euros. Provenance: Collector, Miami, Florida (a letter from the original purchaser, signed and dated 10.22.2019 is available upon request). The "La Chaise" lounge chair was introduced at the Museum of Modern Art in 1948 but was not put into production until 1993 (other sources say 1990). Research indicates that Vitra used a paper label on this chair with many labels having fallen off over the years. Reference: Classic Herman Miller, Leslie Pina, pg. 43.
