Additional Information: Drawing is one of many Freddy Wittop made during his work on the original David Merrick production of "Hello, Dolly!" (1964) with Carol Channing. Costume designer Freddy Wittop won a Tony Award for his work on "Hello, Dolly!" and was also the recipient of a TDF Irene Sharaff Award for lifetime achievement in theatrical costume design. A larger such study is on view at University of Georgia Library with Wittop's archives. Provenance: Private Collection, Palm Beach, Florida, by descent as part of a larger collection of the artist's work, including lots 144-148 in this auction.
