Additional Information: Shafie's process-driven practice transforms handwritten and printed Farsi text into sculptural works on paper. A recurring element in her work is the word "eshgh," meaning "love" or "passion," which is concealed, repeated, fragmented, and abstracted through folding and rolling.

Shafie's work is represented in institutional collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, and Sheldon Museum of Art.
