Additional Information: Desk has top storage with sliding doors revealing four internal drawers, extenders on the sides, six drawers, and a door on each side revealing storage/slots for shelving (shelves not present). Three total desks were known to have been made, this one part of a five-piece suite commissioned for a French noble family. Provenance: Sotheby's 12.1.2001 auction, lot 196.
