Additional Information: Work is titled "Head: Jose." Provenance: Gift from artist to subject | Private Collection, New York, New York and Juno Beach, Florida. The original owner and subject of the work was a flamenco dancer and teacher who retired from dance and started working in NYC galleries, hanging the art and championing new artists. The artists often had him sit as a subject and gifted pieces to him, which he later gave as a collection to his friend and colleague of several decades.
