Additional Information: Sculpture titled "I'm All Ears Deluxe Edition" is part of the artist's ALTERATIONS series. Based on a likeness of Pikachu from the Pokemon series of video games, each sculpture in the edition is unique in color and design. Each work in the edition is unique in color and design. ALTERATIONS is a collaboration between Rick Wolfryd and a group of Mexican Huichol artists at the Sergio Mercado workshop in Plaza de la Ciudadela, Mexico City. The project is a cultural commentary consisting of embellished or reconstructed versions of well-known pop art figures, clad in the intricate beadwork of the Huichol people of Mexico. Historically associated with religious significance, the Huichol beading practice has in time become more commercial. Lot is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity issued by Wolfryd Collection, dated 12.1.2021. Provenance: Artist.
