Large horse with hand applied mane, tail and decoration by the French artist Colette Gueden (1905-2000). Provenance: Artist studio | Jacqueline Pruskin | Private Collection, Florida. The work of Colette Gueden (1905-2000) is closely associated with Primavera, design studio of the French department store chain Printemps, where she began designing in 1927, soon becoming manager, then director, and continuing work until 1972. In addition, she received numerous prestigious commissions for furniture design, including those for French President Vincent Auriol and the steamship 'Le Marseillaise.'
