In the late 1980s, the couple worked with Sid Deutsch Gallery to acquire a collection totalling around forty works by Hilla Rebay, Rudolf Bauer and Rolph Scarlett and others from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Their collection represented in this auction also includes large canvases by Paul Jenkins and Natwar Bhavsar.
