Additional Information: "I'm not here to live a normal life. I'm sent here on a mission. I was fore-predestinated for this planet. Just like Henry Ford." ~ Rev. Howard Finster to Liza Kerwin in "Appreciation: The Reverend Howard Finster, the Last Red Light before the Apocalypse." American Art journal 16, no. 2, as referenced by the Smithsonian Institute. Provenance: Collection of photographer Jim Minton, Brevard County, Florida, acquired by the consignor circa 2016. The consignor shared the following of their visit to Mr. Minton's home: "Jim was a collector of outsider artist paintings, some of which were done for him personally by the artists. In the collection I purchased, he had many pieces by Purvis Young, Howard Finster, Jerry Coker, Abe the Flagman, etc. He also had a nursery of miniature Bonsai trees which he sold from in his front yard. I don’t know if Mr. Minton is still alive. He was very nice but I don’t know too much else about him. I wish I could walk into a place like that again. It was overwhelming but exciting. Paintings were hanging on top of each other."
