His work has been the subject of many exhibitions throughout the world, and he has had work published in hundreds of newspapers and magazines. The boxing photos came out of a passion of his for this sport, born of the Gillette Cavalcade of Sports Friday night tv fight nights in the early 1950s. I am a few years younger than Larry and share this interest. He was always running down to Philly to hang out in the fight gyms. Never took him up on the offer to join him...but always was impressed with his uncanny ability to capture that instantaneous and revealing moment. That is what he is known for in his work, i.e., that moment that through expression or movement tells it all...victory, defeat, elation, exhaustion, or embarrassment."
