Michaele Vollbracht (1947-2018) was an artist and fashion designer working both under his own name and for other designers, notably Bill Blass Limited, Geoffrey Beene and Donald Brooks. Vollbracht was the designer of Bloomingdale's famous Face Bag, and recipient of the 1980 Coty Award. His artwork has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Smithsonian Institution and is included in many private collections, among them former President Gerald Ford, Diane von Furstenberg, Elizabeth Taylor, and Paloma Picasso. {source: Wikipedia} Provenance: Artist | Private Collection, New York, New York, by inheritance.
