Large 'Spill Cast' sculpture by Harry Bertoia (1915 - 1978). The spill cast forms were created by Harry Bertoia by pouring molten bronze and quickly manipulating the bronze before it cooled. The works formed were organic and resembled biological growths or coral. This is an exceptional example in size, form and patina. Provenance: Collection, New York. The sculpture was included in the exhibitions 'Bertoia: A Celebration of Sound and Motion', Sotheby's, February 11, 2014 - March 9, 2014 (sculpture is included in the catalog, pgs. 60, 61) and 'Harry Bertoia: Sculptor and Designer', Pordenone Italy, May 23, 2009 - September 20, 2009. Please call us the day before pick-up. If a shipper is picking the items up, please e-mail us a short note giving us permission to release the items to your shipper.
