SIXTIES collection is comprised of eight Murano glass sculptures, representing the entire SIXTIES form collection, designed by Asti for Vistosi Vetri d'Arte in the 1960s. Eight pieces in MARMORIZZATO (marbled), FILIGRANA (filigree) and plain color (largely through the use of LATTIMO, milky glass). The whole collection of eight models was intended to be repeated thirty three times in an array of interchangeable glass techniques for each form, but the number was never achieved due to the cost of creation. The signed and numbered pieces are titled as follows: BIDOGALE, DOGALE, YONI, SINUOSA, TWIGGI, LINGAM, HARRIS and LUIGIONA. Please contact our auction house directly for additional information on this collection. Provenance: Artist | Collection of Sergio & Yoli Gnesin, Miami, Florida and Venice, Italy. Mr. Gnesin is a noteworthy collector of 20th century Italian glass and author of Vetri Di Ermanno Nason / The Glass Sculptures of Ermanno Nason.
