Prior to opening his own gallery, Charles Foley worked for Eva Glimcher (mother of Arnie Glimcher, who owned Pace Gallery in New York) at Pace Gallery, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Foley was a friend of the artist and purchased the work directly from Tom Wesselmann's studio in New York City.
