A brief biography of Paige Rense Noland (1929-2021): The author, editor and self-made businesswoman served for thirty-five years as editor-in-chief for Architectural Digest magazine. After retiring in 2010, she dedicated her efforts to writing books on her time with the magazine and its evolution, on the work of her late husband, artist Kenneth Noland, and on animal rescue. She was honored by the Humane Society of the United States in 2014 for her work eradicating puppy mills. In May of 2021, Palm Beach Modern Auctions dedicated a session of their Spring sale to Ms. Noland's memory, offering a curated selection of furnishings, decorative arts and handbags from her Palm Beach residence.
