Additional Information: Work is titled "Goddess (Mary, Quan Yin & Isis)." Nancy Burson was a pioneer in computer-generated composite imagery, one of the first artists to challenge "photographic truth" through digital manipulation. Her early composite works in the late 1970s and early 1980s were done in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she developed software capable of visually aging a portrait's subject.
