Additional Information: Lot consists of the Apollo 16 photo, signed by the crew: Commander John Young, Lunar Module Pilor Charles Duke, and Command Module Pilot Thomas Mattingly, along with several pieces of ephemera and news clippings. These include copies of correspondence between the consignor's father and various NASA and government officials, including astronaut and PGA golfer Danny Lawler. Provenance: The consignor's father was in charge of the Ford Motor Company's Public Relations garage in New York City during the time of the Apollo missions, and provided transportation to visiting dignitaries and VIPs. He developed friendships with several of the astronauts, who over the years presented him with various pieces of signed mission memorabilia, which he then passed to his son. The consignor and his father preserved supporting documentation and ephemera to accompany each piece.
In-house shipping is available for this lot at a flat rate of $60 within the continental US.
