Surrealist painting 'Family Matriarch' by Robert Lincoln Springfels (1911 - 1984). Label on reverse; W & J National Painting Show, 1975. Provenance: Collection of Mary Springfels | Private Collection, Florida. Springfels was the original set designer for Cecil B. DeMille Motion Pictures. His works are in numerous private collections and he has exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (California) and the Guggenheim Museum (New York).
