Additional Information: Work is from the collection of Raffaele Ravaioli. Mr. Ravaioli's interest and work in the arts, fashion & design led him to befriend Peggy Guggenheim. Peggy recommended that he purchase the Tancredi pieces. Tancredi participated in an abstract Italian art exhibition at the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome in 1951. The same year the artist settled in Venice and met Peggy Guggenheim. Peggy gave him studio space and exhibited his work in her palazzo in 1954. He was awarded the Graziano Prize for painting in Venice in 1952. Provenance: Collection of Raffaele Ravaioli | Private Collection, West Palm Beach, Florida.
