This 1994 glass sculpture by Tom McGlauchlin demonstrates his late-career experimentation with sandblasting and painterly surface treatments, creating a vessel that functions equally as sculpture. The stylized facial motif recalls the abstracted figuration of Pablo Picasso while resonating with studio glass contemporaries such as Richard Marquis, Howard Ben Tre, and Michael Glancy, who explored sculptural presence beyond pure vessel form.
