Additional Information: Ashtray/dish was commissioned for the 1999 Peter Norton Family Christmas Project. Each year the Norton Family commissions an art edition to celebrate holiday season. Works by Mitchell Syrop, Yasumasa Morimura, Brian Eno/Pae White, Kara Walker, Vik Muniz and Peter Coffin (among others) have been featured since 1989. The Norton family (of computer software renown) are the founders of the Peter Norton Family Foundation supporting non-profit visual arts organizations. Lot includes original information card, Christmas card and shipping box addressed from Norton, Santa Monica, California to Brooke Alexander Gallery.
